Bill Lewis, 82, of Yuba City, surrounded by family passed away February 1, 2021. He was a beloved husband, dad, papa, great papa, and brother. Born October 30, 1938, in Warner, Ok, he was the 7th child of 14 kids. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Lewis; son, Billy Lewis Jr.; daughter, Paula Lewis; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Stan Lewis. Bill was a strong man of faith. A faithful member of his church at Faith Tabernacle in Yuba City. A retired Teamster where he was a route sales and delivery driver for Del Pero Mondon Meat Company for 25 years. He bought his first grocery store, Docs' Place in Sutter, named after the fruit stand his dad, Adolph, ran. He later bought and owned The Hallwood Market in Hallwood, for another 5 years where he quickly was known and loved by all. He was most noted for being the owner and proprietor of Bills Market & Deli named after him on Franklin Rd., in Yuba City, where he always treated everyone with respect and a smile. Services will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Faith Tabernacle Church, 760 Spiva Ave., Yuba City, CA. Graveside ceremony to follow at Sutter Cemetery. Catered Lunch and fellowship immediately following at Faith Tabernacle Church.
