Dorothy Bradshaw of Yuba City, passed away in her sleep on August 13th, 2021 at the age of 94. Dorothy was born on December 26th, 1926 in Los Angeles, and lived in Los Angeles and Bakersfield, before settling in Yuba a where she would live for most of her life. Dorothy attended schools in Yuba City before enrolling at Yuba College where she would meet her future husband, Kenneth M. Reusser. Dorothy worked for Sutter County in the road department, the assessor's office, and she transcribed for the board of supervisors meetings. After becoming a widow in 1982, Dorothy retired and became active in establishing the Yuba City Senior Center where she planted roses and enjoyed the activities there. Dorothy served as a Pink Lady for Fremont Hospital and was a member of the Yuba City Quota Club. Dorothy loved the Sutter Buttes and the history of the Yuba Sutter area. She loved sewing, gardening, chocolate, and reading, always having a book in hand. After 16 years of widowhood, Dorothy had the occasion to become reacquainted with her high school boyfriend, Richard (Dick) Bradshaw, of Bakersfield. Dorothy and Dick married on July 7, 1999 and lived in Bakersfield until Dick passed away on July 11, 2016. Dorothy then returned to Yuba City to live with her daughter. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Reusser, and her husband, Dick Bradshaw. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kendra Fain, granddaughters, Felice Clayton and Stephanie Gayman (Jason), great grandchildren, Spencer Clayton, Sarah Gayman, and Jack Gayman. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am on August 26th, 2021 at the Peoria Cemetery in Browns Valley. A reception will follow immediately after, the location to be announced at the graveside service.
