Vesta Spencer West

Vesta Spencer West, 82, of Yuba City, CA, passed away February 22, 2022. He was born January 22, 1940, in Chanute, KS, and was a resident of Yuba City for 45 years. Vesta served in the US Army as a Paratrooper from 1962-1965 and was a Gas Serviceman for PG&E for 44 years. He was also a member of LDS Church Yuba City Ward, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (ibew). Vesta is survived by his wife, Fredrica Sue West of Yuba City; daughter, Lisa Krepinski of Casa Grande, AZ; son, Steven West of Elk Grove, CA; daughter, Carrie West (Dmitri) Suslova of Columbus, OH; sister, Mabel Williams, AZ; sister, Anna Clark of UT; sister, Sadie West of WA; sister, Myra Lacen of UT; brother, Mo West of Chico, CA; brother, Stan West of Chico, CA; granddaughter, Kathleen Krepinski (Andrew) Hooper of Elizabeth, CO; granddaughter, Kristina Krepinski Denver, CO; grandson, Brady West of Elk Grove, CA; granddaughter, Valentina Suslova of Columbus, OH; great-granddaughter, Logan Hooper of Elizabeth, CO; and a granddaughter to be born in April 2022; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Renee West; father, Dale West; mother, Edna West; sister, Ellen Jones; brother, Jerry West; and brother, Frank West. A viewing will be held at 10AM followed by service at 11AM, on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 520 Clark Ave., Yuba City, CA. Service will be officiated by Bishop Kent Fochs.
