Obituary of Edward Arfsten

Edward G. Arfsten was born June 6, 1934, to Edward P. and Belle G. Arfsten, in Marysville, California. He was the great-grandson of Jens C. Christiansen, an early settler in Sutter County who arrived in California from Denmark in 1850. He is preceded in death by his parents and Lita Smith Arfsten, his loving wife of 50 years. He is survived by his nieces; Kristin Arms and Iris Young; and his dear friends, Krista McDaniel, Amy Ohrt, Richard Shippen, Bill Woods, and Beverly Wooten; who were so kind and supportive both before and after Lita's passing. At Ed's request there will be no services. Private burial at Sutter Cemetery beside his beloved Lita, under direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
