Obituary of Richard Portugal Sr.

Richard Portugal Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was a loving father, husband, brother and uncle who served in the Marines as a Vietnam Veteran. Richard was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Kim and grandson Harley. Richard leaves behind his children: Maxine Portugal, Richard Portugal Jr., Alex Portugal, Amber Knight, Marcus Kissel, Jamie Kissel and Richard Portugal III. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his dog Mia. All his nieces and nephews thought of him as their Hero. Our friends loved him and his sense of humor. He loved camping, fishing and always looking stylish. We always had fun wherever we went. He loved his family but most of all he loved his money, car and Mary Jane! He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a one-of-a-kind, proud Marine Funeral services will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City on Thursday, March 28 from 4 pm to 7pm and Friday, March 29 at noon at the National Cemetery in Dixon. The Celebration of Life will be held at 4pm at Dad's house: 809 Richland Road in Yuba City. Thank you all, from all of us.
