Obituary of Hermila Diamond

Hermila "Pilley" Diamond, 84, of Live Oak, CA, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by her family. Pilley was born to Ynez and Martina Alvarez on January 14, 1940, in Canutillo, Texas, eventually settling in Yuba City, CA, where she attended Tierra Buena School and Yuba City High School. On June 3, 1961, she married her sweetheart Anthony, and they built their life together in Live Oak, CA, raising their five children and running their trucking business. Pilley was an avid sports fan. She loved the Warriors, the Athletics, and especially the Raiders. Her most favorite team to cheer on was any team her grandchildren played on. She also enjoyed a good book, playing games, and puzzles, but she really enjoyed her trips to the casinos with her sister, Veda. Pilley is survived by her children: Rosemary Sevilla, Caroline (George) Stillwell, Becky Diamond, Rachel Diamond, and Mark (Rachelle) Diamond; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Anthony. Services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, 10am, at the Bridge Church, 1104 J Street, Marysville.
